Almost Time To Say Bon Voyage!
Today is Kathryn's birthday, tomorrow is Valentine's Day, Thursday is my brother's birthday but it's also the day that Kathryn and Larry leave on a 3-year tour of London. Kathryn is a Lt Cmdr in the Navy and is off to take over a post (she'd probably kill me to talk so civilian!). I don't see K too often, last time was on New Year's Eve but it's always nice to know she's "here". She'd really like Jamie and I to come to England at the end of the year, especially if she gets the promotion she's up for. If she does get it (and it's a tough crowd to pick from but I'm confident she'll get it), she wants her husband, Larry and I to be able to pin her. A very big honor indeed. I would love to go but I'm hesitant - I'm terrified of flying that far.
Happy 50th!
Happy 50th Birthday Kathryn! Today is one of my oldest friends birthday. Oldest here means two things - 1. She's OLD (LOL) and 2. She's my longest (oldest) friend. I've known K since childhood. Here's a picture of the two of us last year. Well, K, I know you'll get back at me next year but for now, it's my time! Love ya!!!

Happy 29th Birthday Marchelle! (2/2)
Happy 50th Birthday Jamie
While we were in Texas, Jamie turned 50!! Happy Birthday Honey Bunny! Jeana and Jamie hosted a party while we were there with all their friends. What a GREAT bunch of friends they have. They are a close-knit bunch and all help each other with their children. We were very impressed with the friendship this group has. I made all kinds of snack-type foods and Jeana bought a cake. They all sang Happy Birthday to Jamie.
It's February already?
Wow, where did January go? I can't believe it's February 1st. I've hardly blogged all month. It was a very hectic month. I was so busy at work trying to catch up from when I was on vacation in December.
Corine, Mike and the kids came to visit while at the same time Jamie had to leave for a company trip. Then we went to Texas and I've been trying to catch up at work all this week. Take a breath! I have no pictures posted from when the kids were here or from our trip in Texas. Corine and Mike left the day before I left for Texas and there was no time to post. I got home the Friday night that they left, packed and left the next morning.
As we were on the plane home from Texas, I realized that I left behind my camera charger so I can't transfer any pictures from my camera with out it. I hope to have my charger back within a month (maybe I should just go buy a new one - I'd probably have it faster LOL).
I had two great weeks. Having the kids here was great. The house was in constant turmoil and I loved every minute of it even though I love my quiet space. It was sad to come home on that Friday and not see their truck in the driveway and having 3 happy faces and 6 arms all stretched out to kiss me hello and welcome me home. Sometimes we forget how wonderful it is to be so loved and for doing nothing more than just coming home!! We did get some snow while they were here and Mike went out and bought them sleds and pulled them around the yard. Corine took a video of it on her camera and it looked like they had a good time. The sleds will go up in the attic for the next time they visit in the winter. Mike even shoveled the driveway - something he hasn't had to do in about 6 years!
We had a great time in Texas. We don't get to see Andrew and Corbin too often and we had alot of fun with them. Andrew, like all 8 year olds, is really testing the waters and seeing what he can get away with. He loves playing the computer games. He has a pretty good sense of humor, I just wish I was able to spend more time with him to really see what he's all about. Corbin is your typical 3 year old. Ok, no he isn't, he's like an adult in a kids body. He always stands with his hands on his hips just taking everything in. Too funny - not sure I have a picture of it, but if I do, I'll be sure to post it.
We were able to see Julianna and she's a real cutie. Didn't get to spend much time with her but as soon as I'm able to post pictures, you'll see some more of her.
We met Jeana's new boyfriend Chris. He's a great guy. We enjoyed meeting him and spending time with him. I'm anxious for the family to meet him, I think you'll like him too. Jeana's little dog LuLu is too cute. I would've loved to bring her home with me.
